Cross-linked cables refers to cables whose insulation layer is made of cross-linked materials. The most commonly used material is cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE).
Through a specific processing method called cross-linking, XLPE insulation can carry larger current and higher voltages, and the long-term allowable working temperature of the cable is increased from 70°C to 90°C (or higher), and the short-circuit allowable temperature is increased from 140°C to 250°C (or higher), which greatly improves the performance while maintaining its original excellent electrical performance.
XLPE insulated cables are ideal for power distribution. They can be installed outdoors, underground or in extreme weather or operational conditions.
Weiguang can supply XLPE insulated cables in various sizes and voltage ratings. You are welcome to Contact Us for a free quote.
